Chelsea Piner is an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida currently working towards a B.A. in Environmental Studies. She is involved in several undergraduate research projects including the importance of conservation efforts in protecting Florida’s gopher tortoise, finding solutions to local transportation issues in Central Florida, and the impact of poaching for endangered species in Florida. Chelsea has volunteered with organizations such as the UCF Arboretum and Lemongrass Edible Landscaping in promoting environmental awareness and solutions to local food security. Chelsea is a research assistant at UCF working for Dr. Peter Jacques on his research pertaining to climate skepticism. Her hobbies include gardening, painting, playing piano, and hiking.
