It is an incredible opportunity for students, and there are many ways students can directly benefit from it. The intelligence community started developing CAE programs to enhance educational opportunities for students to better prepare a diverse field of candidates for possible careers in intelligence and national security. In 2019 the UCF IC CAE was renewed under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to continue developing its program.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"274\" class=\"img-fluid size-large wp-image-2147 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/03\/ICCAE_Horiz-1024x274.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/03\/ICCAE_Horiz-1024x274.png 1024w, https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/03\/ICCAE_Horiz-300x80.png 300w, https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/03\/ICCAE_Horiz-768x206.png 768w, https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/03\/ICCAE_Horiz-1536x411.png 1536w, https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/03\/ICCAE_Horiz-2048x548.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"mr-2 alignleft wp-image-1364 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/03\/ICCAE_Logo_Color300.png\" alt=\"UCF IC CAE Logo\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The IC CAE now offers an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/minor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">undergraduate minor<\/a>\u00a0and certificates\u00a0at both <a href=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/certificate\/\">graduate<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/ugcertificate\/\">undergraduate<\/a> levels; all titled\u00a0\u201cIntelligence and National Security.\u201d The Center is also funding the development of new classes to expand our existing roster of intelligence and national security courses. There are various travel opportunities for students, including workshops in Washington, DC and <a href=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scholarships<\/a> for study abroad programs and language-immersion programs.<\/p>\n<p>We also host\u00a0many opportunities to hear from and interact with experts in the intelligence community\u00a0via the IC CAE Speaker Series and sponsored workshops &amp; simulations. The IC CAE conducts several such <a href=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/iccae\/events\/list\/?action=tribe_list&amp;tribe_paged=1&amp;tribe_event_display=past\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">events<\/a> throughout the year. Our speakers are experts in intelligence and national security, and they are often active members and specialists within the IC. Presentations can\u00a0range from basic practices &amp; hiring in the intelligence community to area-specific topics and specialized fields\u00a0like domestic terror\u00a0and cyber conflict.<\/p>\n<p>The IC CAE offers\u00a0students course work directly relevant to intelligence, opportunities to get to know much more about the intelligence community, leads on\u00a0advanced training, language, study abroad opportunities, and much more.
