{"id":1591,"date":"2024-07-09T12:20:13","date_gmt":"2024-07-09T16:20:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/kps\/?page_id=1591"},"modified":"2025-03-14T10:58:33","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T14:58:33","slug":"award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/politics\/kps\/award\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Best Article Award in Kurdish Studies<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This award, sponsored by <a href=\"http:\/\/politicalscience.cos.ucf.edu\/kps\/\">Kurdish Political Studies Program <\/a>at the University of Central Florida, recognizes the best article in Kurdish Studies published in the previous calendar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this award cycle, articles <strong>published in 2024<\/strong> will be considered. All articles published in English-language peer-reviewed journals addressing questions and covering issues related to Kurdish politics, broadly defined, will be considered for the award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award is open to <strong>all disciplines<\/strong> under social sciences and humanities. The primary author of the article must be <strong>an untenured scholar <\/strong>(graduate student, post-doc, independent scholar, assistant professor, or equivalent) at the time of the publication. The winner will be <strong>awarded $1000<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nominations are due by January 15, 2025, and the awardee will be announced by February 15, 2025.
