The Attention and Memory Lab is a research laboratory designed to study the interaction between memory and attentional systems and how they affect our broader cognitive functions. By simultaneously tracking eye movements and recording EEG/ERP overt and covert shifts of attention can be measured, which can be related to the amount and intensity of memory representations. Much of Dr. Schmidt’s research focuses on how changes to target representations held in memory affect our ability to direct attention to that object.
The Attention and Memory Lab is NOT currently looking for graduate students, but undergraduate research assistants are welcome to apply (RA application).
