Our Approach

What is Career Readiness Solution

  • Career Readiness Solution is an entirely virtual (online) Assessment Center (AC).  ACs utilize multiple trained assessors who observe the behavior of individuals as they participate in simulations of important work activities. These individuals may be job candidates considered for a position, or they may be employees participating for growth or advancement. Assessors evaluate the assesses’ performance on focal constructs and make recommendations for improvement. The Assessment Center method is utilized by organizations for a variety of talent management purposes including:
          • Candidate Recruitment
          • Hiring/Selection
          • Succession Planning
          • Employee Development across organizational levels

According to the Society for Human Resources Management, one of the reasons why assessment centers are so useful is because individuals undergo a series of activities that resemble actual situations, problems, and tasks that they will when they are being considered for a job or position with an organization.

  • In activities conducted by Career Readiness Solution, assesses participate in an entire simulated job application process that resembles the actual tasks typically required (resumes, cover letters, interviews, business correspondence).  Participation in the CRS assessment center process promotes the assesses’ ability to convey the desired workplace competencies.

Career Readiness Solution seeks to evaluate assesses’ career readiness skills and to help improve these skills before assesses enter the job market. Career Readiness Solution follows a hybrid model including both Diagnostic and Developmental AC elements.

  • Diagnostic Component: A majority of CRS functions with a diagnostic purpose. Each student receives an individualized written profile and feedback report which outlines their strengths and weaknesses across job-related competencies.
  • Developmental Component: Career Readiness Solution also includes a developmental component.  Undergraduate students are provided with modules, materials and assignments related to career readiness, job competencies, typical hiring processes, and key elements of the job search and application process. This didactic instruction is complemented with the experiential learning throughout the entire AC process.
