The purpose of the Employee Health and Well-Being Laboratory is to investigate both contextual and individual differences that enhance and detract from the health and well-being of employees. These might include work-related stressors, job characteristics, organizational climate and culture, and employee personality traits. We define “health and well-being” broadly, and are interested in health-related outcomes that are not only physical in nature, but are also psychological and behavioral as well. In addition to understanding the predicators of employee health and well-being, we are also interested in the design and evaluation of organization-based interventions designed to enhance the health and well-being of employees.
