Nicole Valdes McClure is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Masters Program at the University of Central Florida. Currently, she is gaining experience in Health Psychology through an internship at the AdventHealth Pediatric Weight & Wellness Center. Nicole earned a Masters degree in General Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2015. Nicole was born and raised in South Florida and attended UCF for her undergraduate program, double majoring in Psychology and Political Science. Nicole has worked in the mental health field in various settings: inpatient adult & children crisis units, outpatient juvenile adolescent program, and outpatient neuropsychological testing. Her current research project is investigating the effectiveness of a training program delivered in the community to help caregivers with family/friends affected by dementia. Nicole’s long term professional goals are to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology.
