Dr. Blaney received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Rhode Island with a focus in health psychology.  She completed her clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University as part of the behavioral medicine track. Following internship, she took some valuable time to raise her two daughters. In May 2014, she resumed her training as an APA-accredited postdoctoral fellow at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University with a focus in primary care. During her time as a postdoctoral fellow she also trained in the Behavioral Medicine and Weight Management clinics.  She joined the faculty of UCF as a Clinical Assistant Professor in August 2015 in the Clinical Ph.D. program.  She works as part of a new consortium between the Department of Psychology and UCF Health, the multidisciplinary faculty practice of the UCF College of Medicine. Dr. Blaney is a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida and supervises graduate students training at UCF Health with a focus on integrated care. Her academic and professional pursuits focus on health promotion, health behavior change and chronic disease prevention and management with an emphasis in medical populations, particularly in primary care.  She is particularly interested in the integration of behavioral health into medical settings and in the interprofessional development and training of medical and behavioral health providers for integrated care.
