Dr. Jensen joined the faculty at UCF in 1985 having earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and completed his clinical internship at the University of Florida Medical Center. Dr. Jensen’s areas of interest are in clinical, health, and sport psychology and in general are related to cognitive behavioral approaches for enhancing human performance. Specific current interests are self-efficacy and athletic performance, treatment acceptability of sport psychology interventions, variables associated with exercise behavior, and the multiple benefits of mindfulness training. Dr. Jensen is currently the Associate Chair of the Psychology Department at UCF.
