Haifa Al-Bassam<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kaitlyn Daleandro<\/strong> is a first-year student in UCFs clinical psychology Ph.D. program. She is currently working with Dr. Renk to study factors that mitigate the relationship between parents with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and their children\u2019s behavior problems. Specifically, she is interested in looking at protective and compensatory experiences (PACEs) that buffer the negative impacts of ACEs, and potentially impact the development of positive parenting behaviors.<\/p>\n

Madison Verdone<\/strong> is a graduate student in the Understanding Young Children and Families lab. Her primary interests include adverse childhood experiences, child maltreatment, and parenting behaviors, especially within marginalized populations. Before pursuing her master\u2019s degree in clinical psychology at UCF, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida. She is a first-year student in UCFs clinical psychology Ph.D. program.<\/p>\n

Quiyara Murphy<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anjalee Parbhoo<\/strong> is a first year student in the UCF Clinical Psychology Master of Arts program, on the Research\/Thesis track. Before pursuing her master\u2019s degree, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida. She majored in Psychology, with a minor in Children\u2019s Behavioral Healthcare. Her research interests include parental loss, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and infant communication, specifically within the sphere of relationships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abigail Webb\u00a0<\/strong>is a first-year graduate student in the Master of Arts Clinical Psychology Program on the Thesis Track. She completed her Bachelor\u2019s in Psychology with a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis at Mississippi State University. Her primary research interests include childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), specifically with abuse and domestic violence.<\/p>\n

Samantha Harper<\/strong><\/div>\n

Hennys Torrealba<\/b> is a dedicated junior undergraduate student majoring in Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Florida (UCF). As an undergraduate research assistant, Hennys is focused on her honors thesis, which explores the protective factors of resilience in young children facing socioeconomic challenges and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).<\/div>\n

Hennys is also a co-founder and co-president of the Mindful Readers Club, a psychology book club at UCF that encourages thoughtful exploration of psychological concepts through literature. In her role as the Volunteer UCF Director of Youth and Mentoring, she plans and coordinates events that connect UCF students with opportunities to support and mentor young individuals in the community.<\/div>\n
