Major areas of emphasis include selection and training of employees; applied theories of organizational behavior including models of motivation, job satisfaction, and productivity; test theory and construction; assessment center technology; statistics and experimental design and a variety of current topics. Industrial\/Organizational graduates are involved in many issues of critical importance to society including fairness in the selection and treatment of employees, the creation of work environments that maximize the satisfaction and productivity of employees, and the study of technological influences on, human performance.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<section id=\"requirements\" class=\"ucf-section ucf-section-ms-io-requirements auto-section mb-0\" data-section-link-title=\"Requirements\" aria-label=\"Requirements\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"jumbotron jumbotron-fluid mb-0 bg-faded\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"container\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h3 class=\"heading-underline mt-0\">Degree Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>The M.S. degree program in Industrial\/Organizational Psychology is a four-semester program for full-time students. Both thesis and non-thesis options are offered. Both options consist of a minimum of 38 semester hours of work.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a class=\"btn btn-primary\"\n\t\t\thref=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/catalog\/graduate\/#\/programs\/SkXpjCxuoO\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\tView Catalog\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<section id=\"admissions\" class=\"ucf-section ucf-section-ms-io-admissions auto-section mb-0\" data-section-link-title=\"Admissions\" aria-label=\"Admissions\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"jumbotron jumbotron-fluid mb-0 bg-secondary\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"container\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h3 class=\"heading-underline mt-0\">Competitive Admissions<\/h3>\n<p>Generally the program receives 120-130 applicants. On average, we accept 16-18 applicants annually. The number of applicants we accept is based on resource availability. To improve your chances of being accepted make sure you provide evidence of academic ability, motivated performance, knowledge of the field, and possession of core skills through a careful review of transcripts, GRE scores, letters of reference, goal statements and resumes or vitae. Careful preparation of these documents ensures the best chance of admission.<\/p>\n<h4>Application Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>For information on general UCF graduate admission requirements that apply to all prospective students, please visit the Admissions section of the Graduate Catalog. Applicants must apply online. All requested materials must be submitted by the established deadline.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the general UCF graduate application requirements, applicants to this program must provide:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>One official transcript (in a sealed envelope) from each college\/university attended<\/li>\n<li>Official, competitive GRE score taken within the last five years<\/li>\n<li>A bachelor\u2019s degree with a major in psychology or allied area, or a baccalaureate degree with the completion of undergraduate courses in statistics and research methods, and preference of four additional upper-division psychology courses (12 credit hours)<\/li>\n<li>Resume<\/li>\n<li>One to two page goal statement that includes your reasons for choosing I\/O as a career, your reasons for choosing our program specifically, and any relevant knowledge, skills, abilities and other experiences you have that might make you a good I\/O student, practitioner, and\/or researcher<\/li>\n<li>Three letters of recommendation, with at least two furnished by college or university professors who are acquainted with the applicant<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Meeting minimum UCF admission criteria does not guarantee program admission. Final admission is based on evaluation of the applicant\u2019s abilities, past performance, recommendations, match of this program and faculty expertise to the applicant\u2019s career\/academic goals, and the applicant\u2019s potential for completing the degree.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a class=\"btn
