Overhead Accounts:\u00a0<\/strong>Department and PI overhead accounts are distributed on a bi-annual basis, in January and July.
\nJanuary\u2019s distribution will be calculated using overhead earned from January 1st<\/sup>, through June 30th<\/sup> of the previous calendar year.
\nJuly\u2019s distribution will be calculated using overhead earned from July 1st<\/sup>, through December 31st<\/sup> of the previous calendar year.
\nOverhead is calculated and distributed on all external contracts and grants using the following rates:<\/p>\n

Funds in an overhead account are not tied to any specific project, but they must be used for research related expenditures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
