Biography
Dr. Jonathan Cox is an assistant professor in the department of sociology at the University of Central Florida. Primarily, Dr. Cox is a race scholar, particularly interested in racial and ethnic identities and racial ideologies. He also has interests in social psychology and the experiences of college students.
Dr. Cox is a proud graduate of Hampton University, with a Master’s degree in student affairs from Penn State, and a Master’s and PhD in sociology from the University of Maryland. Dr. Cox has a background in higher education, previously working in multicultural affairs.
