The College of Sciences is pleased to announce that George Whitesides, CEO and President of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic company, will speak at 8 p.m. on Monday, February 28, in the Pegasus Ballroom of the UCF Student Union. Mr. Whitesides will discuss the promise of space tourism and how vehicles in development will open new avenues for science and technology.
A new space age of commercial spaceflight is dawning, and the U.S. is leading this innovative new industry. Virgin Galactic is taking reservations for flights to space on its SpaceShipTwo rocket. Come hear how you will be able to fly and how you can use these services for research discovery.
