Here are a few examples of the type of research we engage in. This intensive research opportunity enhances the academic experience and challenges students to strengthen their critical, analytical, and writing skills. You can find out more at the UCF\u00a0<a title=\"UCF Undergraduate Research\" href=\"https:\/\/www.our.ucf.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Office of Undergraduate Research<\/a>\u00a0or the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/college\/undergraduate-studies\/\">College of Undergraduate Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"row\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\" col-lg-6\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/honors.ucf.edu\/faculty\/honors-in-the-major\/\">Honors in the Major (HIM)<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>An Honor in the Major is UCF\u2019s most advanced undergraduate research program. It is designed to assist juniors and seniors who are intent on developing their own independent research project. Students do not have to be Honors students to take advantage of the HIM program; it is available to all qualified UCF students.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\" col-lg-6\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.research.ucf.edu\/\">The Office of Research at UCF<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The Office of Research budgets $100,000 annually to match contract and grant dollars for principle investigators who hire undergraduates to assist in sponsored research.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"row\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\" col-lg-6\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/mcnair.ucf.edu\/\">The UCF McNair Program<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The McNair Scholars Program is designed to prepare students from low-income, first-generation and traditionally underrepresented groups for doctoral studies.\u00a0 The program prepares undergraduate students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\" col-lg-6\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/ramp.ucf.edu\/\">Research and Mentoring Program (RAMP)<\/a><strong><a title=\"RAMP\" href=\"https:\/\/ramp.ucf.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The RAMP program is designed to provide a research experience working closely with a faculty mentor for students who may be interested in pursuing graduate education. In addition, the students participate in a variety of workshops designed to increase their awareness and knowledge of graduate school education. The aim of this program is to encourage more students from those populations that are traditionally under-represented in graduate education to attend graduate school. Undergraduate students participating in this program receive financial support.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"jumbotron jumbotron-fluid bg-inverse mb-0\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"container\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h2 class=\"heading-underline-inverse\">Institute for Social and Behavioral Science (ISBS)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"lead\">Founded in 1979, the Institute for Social and Behavioral Science (ISBS) promotes community-oriented research throughout the social and behavioral science disciplines.
