Students do not enroll in these hours via myUCF.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Please note that you should not send PDF forms to the Graduate Admissions Coordinator. The registration form will be completed via DocuSign &#8211; steps are included below.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>These categories include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SYA 6908:<\/strong>\u00a0Independent Study<\/li>\n<li><strong>SYA 6918:<\/strong>\u00a0Directed Research<\/li>\n<li><strong>SYA 6909:<\/strong>\u00a0Research Report (for non-thesis MA students)<\/li>\n<li><strong>SYA 6971:<\/strong>\u00a0Thesis (for thesis MA students)<\/li>\n<li><strong>SYA 7919:<\/strong>\u00a0Doctoral Research (for Qualifying Exam and Candidacy Exam preparation)<\/li>\n<li><strong>SYA 7980:<\/strong>\u00a0Dissertation (must have candidacy status)<\/li>\n<li><strong>SYA 6946:<\/strong>\u00a0Internship<\/li>\n<li><strong>SYA 6958:<\/strong>\u00a0Study Abroad (requires approval from UCF Global)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>In order to enroll in restricted credit hours, take the following steps:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify the <a href=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/sociology\/people\/\">faculty member<\/a> you will be working with. <em><em><em><em><em>For thesis, dissertation, and research report hours, this should be your committee chair.<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Work with the faculty member to determine the assignments, consultation policy, and learning outcomes for the hours. This information should be included on the form<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"> you will complete in step 3.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Complete the <a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;font-size: 1rem\" href=\"https:\/\/na3.docusign.net\/Member\/PowerFormSigning.aspx?PowerFormId=a6d96133-1075-4e88-b304-dedfcf89fa25&amp;env=na3&amp;acct=bcdaf540-1162-4b18-b348-d879c21e32db&amp;v=2\">Restricted Registration Agreement<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"> via DocuSign.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>On the landing page, you will enter your name and email, along with the name and email of the faculty member you will be working with.<\/li>\n<li>On the registration form page, you will enter your student information, course information, and the assignment information.<\/li>\n<li>You will sign the form digitally via DocuSign. <span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Once you complete the form, it will be routed automatically to your faculty member to approve (they can also enter\/update assignment information if needed), then will be routed automatically to the College of Sciences Graduate Services (cosgrad@ucf.edu).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>COS Graduate Services will enroll you in the course. <strong><strong>You do not need to register for the hours via myUCF.<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Once the hours are added to your schedule, you should review the course via myUCF to confirm that the credit hours, course number, grading scale, and instructor information are correct. If there are any issues, you should email socadmissions@ucf.edu before the end of the <a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;font-size: 1rem\" href=\"https:\/\/calendar.ucf.edu\/\">add\/drop deadline<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"> for the semester in order for the issue to be resolved. <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><em style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Please be aware that issues that are submitted to the department after the add\/drop deadline may not be resolved.<\/em><\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Please do not submit duplicate forms. If your enrollment has not been processed within 3-5 business days, please follow up with your instructor to ensure that they have signed the form.
