Sara Tehrani is a doctoral candidate at the University of Central Florida. She holds a Master of Science in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology from Valdosta State University.<\/p>\n
Sara is a passionate educator who views the classroom as a space for liberation, critical consciousness, and empowerment. Her teaching is rooted in decolonial praxis, epistemic inclusion, and the principles of engaged pedagogy.<\/p>\n
Sara\u2019s primary research and teaching interests focus on racial and obstetrical violence, particularly the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit Peoples; the overmedicalization of African American women\u2019s birth through cesarean delivery; and genetic testing in prenatal screening.
