The UCF Department of Statistics and Data Science in partnership with Addition Financial is pleased to announce our 2021-22 Analytics Competition! Participants will analyze real-world financial data to gain actionable insights into the problem of credit re-assignment. By creating a rigorous and reproducible statistical analysis and conveying results in a form understandable to non-experts, students will gain valuable experience for future employment. And to top it off, there is an $8,000 grand prize!

Important UpdateS from Addition Financial (Oct 18 & NOV 4)

[Oct 18]  Thank you for your interest in the 2021 Addition Financial (AFCU) Data competition.  The AFCU team has been answering questions from student competitors and this has led to 2 data discoveries that are currently being corrected.

The erroneous data is as follows:

    • Dataset file: ucf_PSCU_UCF_2021_Data
      • Column I – “credit_bureau_score”
      • Column J – “credit_bureau_score_date”
      • Column AB – “primary_cardholder_personal_monthly_income”
      • Column AC – “primary_cardholder_disposable_monthly_income”

All 4 of these columns can be ignored.

Columns I & J accidentally duplicated and will be replaced with a corrected score/score date file.

Columns AB & AC actually reflect rate (not income) and corrected rate files are now available:

[Nov 4]
AFCU have created a new ShareFile link that includes the files necessary from the previous link along with the append files.  File names for the append files are as follows:

      • 20211104_APPEND_ucf_bureau_score_history
      • 20211104_APPEND_ucf_rates_history

Please use this new ShareFile link to get the updated data:
