Chang Liu, MS
Chang Liu is a PhD student in Big Data Analytics within the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the University of Central Florida. She holds a Master’s degree in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde in the UK, and a Master’s degree in Business Analytics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With the past three years of experience as a data scientist in a tech company, Chang has focused on implementing machine learning models. Her research interests lie in the areas of reinforcement learning and machine learning within the AI field. She is passionate about leveraging these advanced methodologies to solve problems and drive innovation.
Yi Liu, MS
Yi Liu is a PhD student of Big Data Analytics in the Statistical department. Originally from China, Yi has a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering with focus in Bioinformatics from Tianjin University, a Master degree in Biological Science with focus on plant molecular biology from University of Alabama, and a Master degree in Data Analytics from University of Central Florida. Yi also have 8 years of work experience in human metabolism research at Translational Research Institute of AdventHealth. Currently working in CVS Health as a data analyst, Yi is continuously pursuing her passion in healthcare related data analysis field as a PhD student. Yi joins the team to contribute her knowledge in data management and data analytics and to learn more about how data science can help enhance the health management of older adults.
Tho (Trixie) Nguyen, MPH
Tho Nguyen (She/Her/Hers) is a PhD student in Big Data Analytics, currently working as a Data Analyst at AdventHealth University and a Biostatistician at AdventHealth Research Institute for the past three years. She holds an MPH in Biostatistics from Oregon State University and an MD from Vietnam. As a dedicated public health professional, her research interests include biostatistical and epidemiological methodologies, chronic disease epidemiology, and the impacts of nutrition and physical activity on health, with a current focus on causal inference and data analytics in public health studies.
