Changing Rooms
If there is a need to change the room in which a class is scheduled, and if there are no students enrolled, this process is normally fairly quick and easily handled.

When requesting a room change, please include the following information:

  • Rationale
  • GEP?
  • New room location (if obvious) OR
  • Options for new room location

If the room change is approved, the department is responsible for notifying the students of the new location.

Changing Day/Time

When requesting a day or time location, this requires Academic Affairs (AA) approval.
When requesting a new date/time, please include the following information:

  • Reason for the requested change
  • Number of enrolled students (when applicable)
  • Identify how the students will be accommodated or assisted with the change
  • Identify whether or not the class is a GEP course

If a change to the day or time of the class is approved, the department is responsible for notifying the students of the change and responsible for assisting students with finding an alternative course if needed, particularly in cases where a student may be prevented from graduating if the day/time is changed.

Changing Modality

When requesting a change to the instructional modality (ex. changing from face-to-face to mixed-mode), this requires Academic Affairs (AA) approval.

When requesting a new instructional modality, please include the following information:

  • Rationale for the change
  • Number of enrolled students (when applicable)
  • Identify how the students will be accommodated or assisted with the change
  • Identify whether or not the class is a GEP course

If a change to modality is approved, the department is responsible for notifying the students of the change and responsible for assisting students with finding an alternative course if needed.
