Samuel received his B.A. in biology from Carleton College, then worked for the environmental DNA (eDNA) program at the National Genomics Center for Fish and Wildlife Conservation, part of the US Forest Service’s Rocky Mountain Research Station. His primary research area is using genomics to analyze the population genetics and evolutionary history of tropical fishes.
