FSA Speakers & Events

• September 12, 2022. (Monday, 6:00 pm in BA 1 room 213). Sergeant Scott from the UCF PD is coming to talk about K9 narcotics handling, his detective background, and his threat management detective work.
• September 19, 2022 (Monday, 6:00 pm in BA 1 room 213). Allura Bennett from the Criminal Investigations Division here at UCF coming to speak. She will be talking about her time as a crime scene tech and sharing some cases she has worked on. She will also be talking about her current position in the UCF PD as the threat assessment management analyst.
• September 26, 2022 (Monday, 6:00 pm in BA 1 room 213). Detective Melissa Guagagnino from the UCF PD Criminal Investigations Division coming. She is a digital forensic detective here and is also the therapy dog K9 handler. When she comes she will also be bringing the therapy dog!
• October 21, 2022 – STEM Day (Friday, PSB Atrum). FSA members will host demonstrations related to fingerprinting, presumptive tests for blood, and a mock crime scene for local K-12 students.

• October 4, 2022 – (Friday, 3:30 pm in CB 1 room 307). Special Guest Speaker Dr. Walter Wilson from NIST will discuss his research on Analytical Tools to help Forensic Laboratories in Cannabis Testing.
