Our research focuses on developing advanced functional nanomaterials and applying them to technologically important applications such as diagnostics and bio-/chemical sensing. By taking advantage of modern nanoscience and analytical tools, we are also interested in conducting fundamental nanoresearch at the atomic level.
9/1/2018 - Our group receives a 3-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), “Collaborative research: An enzyme-free amplification technique for ultrasensitive ELISA of disease biomarkers”. Dr. Xia is the PI. Thanks for the support from NSF.
5/5/2018 - The Xia group relocated from Michigan Tech to UCF. Dr. Xia, his wife Sharon (now an assistant professor in the School of Social Work at UCF), and his daughter Evonne settled down in Orlando. Many thanks to the Xia group members, the new colleagues at UCF, and all our family members and friends for their great help and generous support during our relocation and transition!
