The UCF Department of Mathematics is proud to present the Math Knights program, a hub for fostering mathematical excellence and exploration among K-12 students. Our program is dedicated to supporting young mathematicians through competitions, training, and enrichment opportunities.
American Mathematics Competitions (AMC)
Math Knights is an official host site for the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) series AMC 8, AMC 10 and AMC12. These competitions challenge students to develop their problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning. For more information, visit our Competitions page.
Training for Competitions
Math Knights offers comprehensive training for high school students preparing for the AMC 10/12, AIME, and USAMO competitions. Weekly meetings, supervised by math faculty, provide focused guidance and support to help participants excel. Sessions are held in the Mathematics and Sciences building at UCF, starting from Labor Day through the AMC 10/12 Competition Day (early November). Learn more on our Program page.
Summer Institute
In addition to competitions and training, Math Knights organizes a Math Exploration Summer Institute for high school students. This unique program delves into topic ranging from counting principles to mathematical modeling, tailored to participants’ backgrounds and interests. Recognized by the AMS Epsilon Award for Young Scholars Programs, the institute provides an enriching experience for budding mathematicians.
