Data Science Lab

Overview

The Data Science Lab in the Department of Statistics and Data Science is led by Prof. HanQin Cai. All Linux workstations in the lab are installed with statistical analysis software such as SAS, R, and Python. All students who are currently taking classes from the statistics department are welcome to use lab resources. In addition, there are graduate teaching assistants in the lab who can assist students with these programming languages. The Data Mining Lab also offers free installation of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) on students’ personal computers.

Faculty members are required to file a ticket using the link below on behalf of students to gain access to the lab.

Rules

  • Absolutely NO eating or drinking in the lab
  • DO NOT change the setting on any of the computers
  • DO NOT install anything on computers unless you have permission
  • All persons must leave when lab assistants have to leave
