Overview
The Data Mining Lab in Department of Statistics and Data Science is led by Prof. Mitch Hill. All computers in the lab are installed with statistical analysis software such as SAS, R, and Python. All students who are currently taking classes from the statistics department are welcome to use lab resources. In addition, there are graduate teaching assistants in the lab who can assist students with these programming languages. The Data Mining Lab also offers free installation of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) on students’ personal computers.

Remote Operation During COVID-19
Due to COVID-19, the lab is not open at this time. Programming assistance is still available via Zoom meetings at the hours given below. Please ask your statistics instructor for a Zoom link to the Data Mining Lab meeting. SAS installation is also still being offered, but students must arrange an in-person meeting at least 48 hours beforehand. Please contact your statistics instructor to arrange a meeting for SAS installation. Students can also access SAS via UCF Apps as an alternative to installation on a personal device.

Rules
- Absolutely NO eating or drinking in the lab
- Save all personal files to flash drive or CD; Not to Hard Drive
- DO NOT change the setting on any of the computers
- DO NOT install anything on computers unless you have permission
- All persons must leave when lab assistants have to leave
