Travel Support
We aim to make CUWiP accessible to everyone. All meals and accommodation during the conference are organized and the costs are met by CUWiP. You do not need to book or arrange accommodation on Friday or Saturday night. If you have special dietary requirements, please note them in your registration. We will make all reasonable accommodations for dietary restrictions.
Travel to the conference is usually paid for by your home department. You should request/discuss with your department if they are able to support you. If your department is not able to provide travel funding, we please request that you provide a letter from a department official stating this. In cases where your own department, or other sources, can not cover the cost, there are funds available to provide support travel to CUWiP so no one has to miss out on CUWiP for financial reasons. In order to access those funds, please email ucfcuwip@ucf.edu to request travel support.
Travel costs will typically be reimbursed after the conference. Before you book a plane ticket, or any other travel ticket costing more than $100, you must first email the cost and itinerary to ucfcuwip@ucf.edu to receive advance permission prior to incurring the cost. Significant costs which are not pre-approved may not be reimbursed.
Please be sure to fill out the registration questionnaire.
If you are requesting travel support, you MUST fill out this form.
Accommodations
Housing will be at the on-campus Celeste hotel and the DoubleTree hotel next to campus. Students will have one or two roommates. There will be an opportunity to request specific roommates after acceptance to CUWiP; otherwise, roommates will be assigned.
Faculty and other non-students traveling with student groups to CUWiP can request to book in our room blocks at either the Celeste or the Double Tree. Please email ucfcuwip@ucf.edu or fill out the online google form that was mailed to Chairs and associated faculty (see also registration page).
Parking
Parking passes will be made available for on-campus garages near the meeting spaces. Those staying at the Celeste are welcome to use the on-campus parking for the duration of the weekend. Those staying at the DoubleTree will be able to park there, and drive the short distance to campus during the conference days.
