1st-year Graduate Student
PhD physics – Planetary Science Track
Kayla currently studies regolith and dust in the solar system, especially properties of lunar regolith. She is especially interested in mission science, and has done several mission-design projects in the past. Outside of UCF, Kayla is also on the Lunar PAD team, who are working to design landing pads that capture and redirect the dust plumes created when landing on the lunar surface. Outside academics, Kayla loves spending time with her dog (Nena), as well as baking and playing her violin (she has played violin since 3rd grade!).
