Research: Isabela is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics at UCF under my supervision. In her first year, she received the UCF Graduate Dean’s Fellowship. She is working in the solution of inverse scattering problems in 3D using fmm-accelerated methods to obtain high resolution reconstructions of penetrable and impenetrable obstacles.
Research: Nick is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics at UCF under my supervision. In his first year, he received the UCF Graduate Dean’s Fellowship. We previsouly worked together in the NSF-REU in Applied and Computational Mathematics held at UCF in the Summer of 2023. Nick is working in applying curriculum learning strategies in the training of neural networks for the solution of inverse obstacle scattering in 2D.
Research: Tina is a Research and Mentoring Program (RAMP) scholar and previously had a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), both under my supervision. She is working in using reinforced learning to improve the solution of inverse scattering problems in 2D.
Research: Eli is a Research and Mentoring Program (RAMP) scholar and she is writing an Honor Undergraduate Thesis with me. Her work is in developing models to do inverse problems and inverse design for two dimensional domains.
