As a student who has never done much in the science field, I was excited to experience a telecom with NASA and the other selected USIP teams.
Back in September, we gathered together in Dr. Colwell’s office and listened intently as everyone called into the conference. In the beginning it was frustrating because everyone was talking in their offices and wouldn’t mute their phones.
Finally, the coordinator came onto the phone and made the announcement. She took her time to congratulate the teams and welcome us into the USIP program. As she explained her role and the direction we would be headed, I couldn’t help but be excited for what this semester and the following had in store.
