Shelly wins at Botany 2016!

Congratulations to Shelly Gaynor who just won the Best Student Poster award in the Genetics Section of “Botany 2016” being held in Savannah, GA. Her poster, entitled “The Influence of Genome Duplication on Brassicaceae and Rosaceae Communities Across the United States”, was competing against all other student participants, including graduate students. This project was part of her NSF-REU summer experience at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Check out her poster!

Shelly also recently was named as one of the winner of the 2016 Golden Opportunity Scholars Award by the American Society of Agronomy,Crop Science Society of America and Soil Science Society of America.  UCF College of Science also posted a short article about Shelly winning this award. We are very proud of Shelly!
