The College of Sciences presents the Instructional Travel Fund (ITF) award to support faculty activities focused on advancing student academic and professional success.
Description
This award supports the objective in our strategic plan to “Improve teaching and learning effectiveness by increasing the percentage of students who successfully complete each class.” These funds are intended to support two faculty initiatives:
- (ITF-1) conference travel for faculty to disseminate their research findings related to teaching and/or learning; and,
- (ITF-2) teaching professional development and networking opportunities that will advance the program assessment plan (e.g., attending specific workshops or symposia on pedagogical strategies identified in the assessment plan; attending meetings for a pedagogical innovation collaboration described in the assessment plan).
The overall goal of this award program is to support activities that improve the quality of student learning experiences in COS and to increase the national and international recognition of UCF through faculty dissemination and meaningful engagement at teaching and learning workshops and conferences.
