There are several categories of credit hours for COS Graduate students that are restricted, and require completion of a Restricted Registration Agreement (RRA) to enroll in those hours.
Students do not enroll in these hours via myUCF – students should submit an RRA form via DocuSign to request enrollment.
Course numbers and categories that require an RRA form:
- 6908: Independent Study
- 6918: Directed Research
- 6909: Research Report
- 6971: Thesis (thesis committee must be approved prior to registering)
- 7919: Doctoral Research
- 7980: Dissertation (must have candidacy status)
- 6946: Internship
- 6958: Study Abroad (requires approval from UCF Global)
Tips and Info:
Tips and instructions for submitting your RRA:
- Work with your instructor/advisor on information to include in the Assignments section.
- Please encourage your instructor to complete and sign your form promptly so that processing is not delayed.
- If you have questions about the status of your RRA form once submitted, please reach out to your graduate staff member for your program. Please do not submit a duplicate form.
- If you are unable to complete an RRA form you have started, please contact your program graduate staff so they can have us void the incomplete form.
- Start your RRA form as early in the semester as possible to prevent delays in processing.
- Make sure you fill out all the required fields on the RRA form.
- Ensure that you have no holds on your student account prior to submitting your RRA form. Holds prevent processing of your enrollment.
Revisions to Registration Requests:
If you need to make a change to an RRA after it has been submitted:
- First, DROP the section in myUCF that you are revising if you have been enrolled in the section. Any forms received for course sections you are already enrolled in may be flagged as duplicate and not updated.
- If you have not yet been enrolled, email cosgrad@ucf.edu to request that the form be voided prior to submitting the revised form.
- Then, submit your revised RRA (before the add/drop deadline). Be sure to select “Revision” in DocuSign so that your new form is clearly marked.
- This process applies to all revisions (credit-hour changes, section changes, instructor changes, etc.).
- Please note that RRAs received after the add/drop deadline may not be processed; we do our best to ensure that all students are enrolled, but it is your responsibility to submit your RRA in a timely manner by the deadline and follow up on the status of your enrollment.
