Kendal recently graduated from the University of Central Florida in December of 2019. She aspires to go to medical school and is currently taking time to study for the MCAT while volunteering in the Winnie Palmer NICU and in the PeRL lab. After taking the MCAT, she plans on working on her medical school applications and applying to various jobs in the healthcare field to gain more medical experience.

 

 

Nikki Anne Ballelos

Nikki Anne Ballelos is currently a junior studying biomedical sciences to pursue a career in the medical field to become a doctor. Nikki Anne is interested in the performance of human attention and behavior in addition to the human body systems and hopes to attend medical school after graduation from UCF.

 

 

Israel Castellanos

Israel is a recent graduate from the Psychology program at UCF. Israel will begin a Master’s degree in Human Factors at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University this Spring (2021). He joined the PeRL team in the summer of 2018, while also working full-time for a major healthcare provider. His current research interests consist of vigilance, attention, and motivation.

Juan is a current senior in the Psychology program with a Neuroscience track. I would like to enter a Doctoral Program in Cognitive Neuroscience and continue pursuing my research interests. I am currently working on an honors in the major study dealing with motivation, specifically self-determination-theory. My current research interests consist of memory, attention and motivation.

Michaela Hagerty-Koller

Michaela graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2019. She intends to pursue a Ph.D program in Clinical Psychology and is currently in the interview process.  She plans to specialize in adolescent psychology, and further research on treatment plans for addiction and mood disorders in at-risk youth populations.

Lindsey recently graduated from the University of Central Florida in May of 2018. She currently works at the Mental Health Association of Central Florida as a Reflections Program Director and plans to attend graduate school in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Her research interests include job satisfaction, organizational development and leadership/management.

Johanna Rose is a junior at UCF pursing a B.S. in Biology with intentions to attend medical school. Her current research interests include the role of charity work in the social economy of host communities and behavioral healthcare for the rural youth. She works with local schools, clinics, and nonprofits with a focus on educational opportunities for students with chronic conditions.

She hopes to continue research throughout her time in Medical School and rest of career.
