Patrick Piekarski

Masters Student, 2017- University of Central Florida
The overarching purpose of Patrick’s research is uncovering how alternative phenotypes within species emerge and diverge over time and the role of phenotypic plasticity in the origin of complex traits. His Master’s work involved reconstructing the phylogeny of vespid wasps (using a large scale genetic dataset) for insight into how eusocial societies with distinct workers and queens originated.
