NSC grad launches FemCityOrlando

Leah Nash, 34, is membership coordinator for the Florida Independent Automobile Dealers Association. She also runs Trusted Source Communications, an Orlando-based marketing firm. Nash’s passion for culture and connecting with people led her to launch FemCityOrlando, an Orlando group for women business owners. Nash earned a master’s degree in communication from the University of Central Florida.

“I wanted to create a space where women could come together. It’s not so much about networking, but connecting and getting to know each other. Our first meeting on women’s issues and self care was held in March, and about 30 businesswomen attended. We had women from the corporate sector, like Darden, and others who are local small-business owners. I’m bringing in Amy Jantzer, a local social media expert, for our next meeting on April 26. She’s a good excellent example of a successful local female entrepreneur,” Nash told the Orlando Sentinel.
