Delegations from India Discuss Future Partnerships

In May, the India Center welcomed delegations of leaders of academic institutions from India. Representatives from MIT-World Peace University in Pune met with the India Center and the Nicholson School of Communication and Media. The following week, leaders with the PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research and the PSG Institute of Advanced Studies in Coimbatore met with the India Center and the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The international visitors met with UCF faculty and staff to discuss opportunities for future partnerships. The India Center explored the potential for collaborations through education, research, or study abroad to further its mission of broadening the awareness and understanding of contemporary India. UCF currently has general agreements for collaboration with ten colleges and universities in India.

“The meetings with the visitors from India were productive,” said Leila Chacko, Director of Public Affairs for the India Center. “The India Center is interested in expanding the study of India today through partnerships with colleges and universities in India.”
