Physics creates interactive lab for students

In an attempt to make the process of learning easier and more beneficial for students, the College of Sciences and the Physics department have created a new interactive lab for physics students. The lab has computers set up in stations to foster team work, which will allow the professor to roam the room as opposed to just lecturing. Less lecturing allows students to feel more motivated to take a hands-on approach to their learning experience while also giving them the opportunity  to understand topics from a “big picture” view. Studies of similar labs show that students working in this setting will understand and retain the material better than students learning in a lecture only classroom.
