For Students: Attend conference on political climate and foreign policy

SCUSA is a prestigious undergraduate conference which hosts student delegates and cadets from around the world to discuss the current political climate, debate national political strategy, and propose foreign policy plans for the future. Previous key note speakers include Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, Dr. Leslie Gelb, Admiral James Stavridis, and Dr. Rajiv Shah. 

This year’s conference theme is “Leading in Lean Times: Assuring Accountability and Assessing American Priorities in an Age of Austerity.”

Each year the Office of Prestigious Awards selects one student representative to attend the conference. All trip related expenses will be covered by the Honors College. More information about the conference can be found at http://www.westpoint.edu/sosh/SitePages/scusa.aspx.

To apply, please submit a 250-500 word personal reflection explaining why you believe attending SCUSA would enhance your education and further your career goals along with a resume or CV.

Applications must be submitted electronically to OPA@ucf.edu by noon on October 1st.
