Military expert to speak at UCF
Bernard Finel will visit the University of Central Florida on Tuesday, Jan. 18 to speak on global terrorism.
His presentation, “Are We Winning? Measuring Progress in the Struggle Against Terrorism,” will start at 3 p.m. in the Key West Ballroom of the Student Union and is free and open to the public.
Finel is considered an expert on the use of force in international relations. He is an associate professor of national security strategy at the U.S. National War College and an adjunct fellow at the American Security Project, a think tank based in Washington, D.C.
Finel is the lead author of the annual report from the ASP, “Are We Winning? Measuring Progress in the Struggle against Violent Jihadism.” He has taught courses on military strategy and operations and was the executive director of the security studies program at Georgetown University.
