Annual Founders’ Day Honors Convocation

The annual Founders’ Day Honors Convocation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in the Pegasus Ballroom at the Student Union.

We will recognize faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, advising, research, professional service, and librarianship. We will also recognize those members of our faculty who have completed 20, 30, 40, and 45 years of service and will recognize those who recently retired or who are retiring soon. We will also present special Founders’ Awards to ten students who have demonstrated exceptional ability in a particular area of study and will present four awards to Honors in the Major students for having written the most outstanding theses. Recently graduated seniors who completed honors theses and juniors and seniors who are in the top one percent academically of undergraduates within each college (minimum of 30 hours at UCF) will also be recognized.

It is my hope that those faculty members who are being recognized and other interested parties will be available to attend this celebration of excellence and faculty members will accommodate students who are being recognized during the ceremony.
