UCF Alumna Inspires The Next Generation of Filmmakers

UCF Alumna and Nicholson School of Communications graduate, Stefanie Esquijarosa, ’09, is bringing film and media to Orlando area youth through the Florida Film Academy.   As Production Manager for Steel Spyda, Stefanie is at the sharp end of film and TV – assisting with the production of documentaries both on, and off, location.  She also has years of educational experience under her belt in broadcast and creative writing.  Her passion for creative storytelling combined with organizational skills make her perfectly placed to inspire the next generation of filmmakers through Florida Film Academy.

About The Florida Film Academy

Esquijarosa owns and directs the Florida Film Academy.  They specialize in bringing film and media to young students ages 7-17.  They offer a mix of film and fun through a variety of programs such as summer camp, after school courses and adult courses.  Students experience learning directly with one of their broadcast partners, a short course on your chosen aspect of the industry and real world opportunities to take part in an actual shoot.  They are located in the heart of historical downtown Winter Garden.
