Alumnus Credits UCF for Helping Pave the Way for His Career

Bill Peppler Head Shot editedUniversity of Central Florida political science alumni have shown that with hard work and determination you can achieve your goals in a variety of different career paths. Bill Peppler, ’96, is no exception. He has over 15 years of experience in the technology, financial staffing and consulting industries and was named one of Orlando’s Forty under 40 by the Orlando Business Journal in 2011. Peppler graduated from UCF in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and he credits UCF for helping pave the way for his career.

“UCF has helped me so much in everything I do. I honestly can say that I was prepared for the real world not only from the experience in the classroom but through everything else I was able to experience at UCF.”

Peppler was very active during his time at UCF. He was involved in the Lambda Chi Alpha, Orientation Team and was a student government Senator.

When asked what his best UCF memory was he said, “There are so many to choose from but mostly the times spent during Orientation team or during my time as a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. Watching Daunte Culpepper’s first game as a student also ranks right up there.”

Peppler is currently a managing partner at Kavaliro, Inc. Kavaliro provides diversified technical services and solutions to various organizations nationwide.

“I started Kavaliro with three other UCF alumni and one of our company’s core values is also community. We try our very best to give back to the communities where Kavaliro holds offices as much as we possibly can. Kavaliro, actually means Knight, in honor of our UCF experience.”

The company specializes in outsourcing and staff augmentation solutions within the areas of information technology and engineering. Peppler is responsible for overseeing operations and developing additional new markets for Kavaliro across the United States.

The UCF Creed is integrity, scholarship, community, creativity, and excellence. Peppler described how the UCF Creed has inspired the work he does.

“Scholarship has also inspired us to give back to less fortunate students and we do this by contributing both time and financially to the UCF Foundation. I also am currently a mentor for the Professional Selling Program through the College of Business as well as one for the 4Ever Knights student program. In addition, I am also a proud member of the UCF Alumni Association Board of Directors and serve on their Sponsorship Committee.”

Peppler believes that current students should take advantage of all that UCF has to offer.

“The students who create a home vs. a place to get a degree are the ones who have life lasting memories, friendships, and experiences.  Take on a leadership role and remain connected to your university. To see the growth that has happened since my graduation in 1996 is clearly remarkable.  Can you imagine what the next 50 years will look like?”
