Director of Academic Support Services

Seresa Cruz has been promoted to Director of Academic Support Services. During the coming year, she will be working with Jack McGuire to assume full responsibility for the college’s budget planning and financial oversight. She will function as the college’s Chief Financial Officer and Human Resources Manager.

Seresa Cruz joined the University of Central Florida in 1996. She has held various positions throughout the university; Mrs. Cruz has worked with the College of Health and Public Affairs, Interdisciplinary Studies, the College of Arts & Sciences and is currently working in the College of Sciences’ Dean’s office. Her current position includes the management of the College’s’ Budget and Human Resources functions. The management of the Budget includes the state appropriations, foundation, auxiliary, equipment fees, lab fees and faculty startup funds allotted to and associated with the College of Sciences. The College’s hiring process, record retention, trainings and all other Human Resource functions are managed by Seresa as well.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration at the University of Central Florida, and her academic focus included government budgets, accounting systems and human resource management. In addition to her academic dedication she serves on the Financial Focus Group at the University of Central Florida.
