COS student wins major awards

Alina Alvarez, a senior Ad-PR major, has just been notified that she has been named to the American Advertising Federation’s 2012 Class of the Most Promising Minority Student. Alina is the second UCF student to be named.

She will be flown to New York City in February for an awards ceremony and networking opportunities. Her name and school affiliation will be listed in Ad Age the week of the awards.

Alvarez is an extremely accomplished student. She was the first UCF student to receive the NASCAR / Wendell Scott Sr. Award scholarship. Alvarez was also awarded the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando recently.
