Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work with a professional basketball team? Leon Bichachi, ’05, has had the opportunity to be a part of the Miami HEAT organization for the past seven years. Bichachi currently serves as the community affairs coordinator for the organization, and manages all aspects of functional projects and appearances featuring Miami HEAT players and coaches on various NBA mandated and fundraising programs during the course of the NBA season.  Some of his other responsibilities include supporting all community outreach activities, foundation projects and education-related programs in the community affairs department.

Bichachi started with the Miami HEAT as in intern in the community affairs department during the 2005-2006 season and has been there ever since.  He graduated from the UCF Nicholson School of Communication with a bachelor’s degree in advertising/public relations in 2005.

“I have worked in the community affairs department during my entire career here at the HEAT and it’s an absolute privilege to work for such a great organization, especially in my department where I get to coordinate and manage events that serve children and adults in all South Florida communities,” said Bichachi.
