Kalimipalli examined the effects of government infusions on promoting financial stability and diffusing financial crises in India as India’s population has grown to the largest in the world. Kalimipalli introduced the subject with an overview on the Indian economic system as well as the concept of a relationship between government guarantees and financial stability. Following Kalimipalli’s presentation, Venugopal led an audience Q&A.

The talk is part of an India Center series titled “India- Growth, Challenge, Opportunity,” focused on India’s position as the most populous nation. Leila Chacko, Director of Public Affairs for the India Center, stated “Dr. Kalimipalli’s talk was very relevant to understanding contemporary India because India’s financial stability is of major importance in the world, given its rank as the most populous country.”
