New STEM Internship Program

Workforce Central Florida and the University of Central Florida are partnering to serve a specific need in the community:  offering an internship program to job seekers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields to build their resumes.

The program is open to people 18 years and older that have experience in STEM fields, but need further experience to gain an edge on the competition and find a career.  Qualified Central Florida businesses can host an intern at no cost, providing interns a learning environment to develop new or existing skills.  Targeted industries include engineering and information technology.

Interns would participate in an eight-week program once declared eligible by WCF and are hired by a company.  The positions are paid by WCF and interns work up to 40 hours per week.  Space is limited for both participating companies and interns.
