Political science alum announces candidacy for property appraiser

UCF political science graduate and real estate appraiser Jamie Lester has officially announced his intention to seek the office of Gulf County Property Appraiser.

Currently he is a Florida State Certified General Appraiser. He has been an active member in the Appraisal Institute and the American Society of Appraisers where he holds the designation of an SRA (Senior Residential Appraiser) and another designation as an ASA. He also earned the designation as a Certified Florida Evaluator (CFE).

Lester was also certified as a Florida Supreme Court County Court mediator and Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator. In addition, Lester served as a Special Magistrate for years in several surrounding counties such as Bay, Okaloosa and Leon, etc. During this time he heard the cases between the county property appraiser and property owners concerning their assessments.
