Roundtable ignites collaboration between two programs

Fifteen media representatives from the Central Florida market met with radio-television and journalism faculty members recently at the Nicholson School. A roundtable discussion was held regarding future efforts by the two programs to collaborate and cross-train students in their majors.

Reporters, editors, producers and managers from WFTV Channel 9, the Orlando Sentinel, Orlando Magazine, La Prensa, Golf Channel, Observer Newspapers and others met with faculty for the two-hour event. Professors Tim Brown, Will Kinnally and Rick Brunson represented the Nicholson School.

The information and insights gathered from the discussion will be used to better utilize and deploy resources in NSC to train students for a multimedia industry where print, digital and broadcast media have merged.
