Salas, PhD, is a University Trustee Chair and Pegasus Professor of Psychology at the University of Central Florida, where he directs the Department of Human Systems Integration Research.
As one of the world’s leading experts in the use of simulation and teamwork training, he has studied these areas extensively in a variety of fields, including during a 15-year stint with the US Navy.
He has published more than 300 journal articles and several books and is a past editor of the Human Factors journal. He is also a past president of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is president elect for the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
